Travel buildings are either buildings putting in place transportation means or a staying place for travels using some transportation means. The idea behind them is that they allow for two things:
1. if they improve travel means on a same planet they increase the economy output (better transportation of goods, etc) and happiness of people
2. they are necessary for population migration if they improve travel means between planets

I don't really understand the concept behind the travel building. Is it like a staying place for travelers, or what?

Wonders: we more or less thought of buildings unique to one layer or the universe. However we haven't started working around that line yet.

Transportation: that would be travel buildings.

Construction buildings: these have been added since I wrote the blog post.

EDIT- The Transportation buildings/systems reduce pollution and allow for more people to live on the planet and maybe increase productivity... I dunno

/me plays civ 3 for inspiration...

What about Wonders; You know buildings that can only be built once. Their would have too be limitations and maybe a few for each race/tech tree but I think that they could add somthing... But Maybe not :P

Also, I dont know the specifics... But you could have 'Transportation' buildings, Of course, it would be a small subset but they could include: Cars (defult), Mass Transit system/Trains, Solar powered gyrocopters... (the last one was because I ran out of ideas and it was the closest thing to what I was thinking :P)

Also, what about 'Construction' buildings? You could have like the tier 1 Cranes, tier 2 Antimatter levatators (or somthing and tier 3, teleportation devices. Each tier makes building faster.

And if you are wondering why I am giving such 'Low Tech' ideas like 'Cranes', 'Cars' and Trains... It is because I figure "Why give a damn about the planets you occupy, you can just get new ones from TSeeker or Ju :P"
